Hey there,
So glad to be alive and well to see another Easter! This season, we are reminded of God’s incredible and redeeming love. Jesus comes down all for us to show us how much he loves us and makes us heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ. When we take a deep look and meditate on this sole purpose of why he came to earth, it is worth celebrating every day of our lives. His blood bought us and we are no longer slaves of sin, sickness, failure and shame.
Some songs I love and that you can listen to meditate on God’s love and his sole purpose of coming to the earth.
1. Reckless love of God (Cory Asbury)
2. On a hill far away (Hymn)
3. Nothing like your love (Hillsong)
4. When you walk into the room{Jon Thurlow}
I found these two scriptures this previous week and I would love to share them with you.
Here’s the first: John 6:29
Jesus answered and said unto them, “this is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he has sent.” (KJV)
Jesus answered, ‘believe him that God has sent to you. That is the work God wants you to do.’ {Easy English version}
Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”(NLT)
This caught my attention this week. The work God wants us to do is to believe in Jesus! That’s all! So good!
The second one: Psalm 27:13
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (NIV)
I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness in the exuberant earth (MSG)
I had fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. (KJV)
Ha! So so good. This gives me hope and it would do the same to you because God’s word is life!
I hope you can hold these scriptures in your heart and be encouraged that God is too faithful and his mercies are new every day!
Happy Easter!
Love,
Ayobambo
