Never walk alone, they say. Yet, they don’t give us one to walk with…
Are you alone?
Do you feel lonely?
Have you tried all to feel better?
Well, you’re not alone
Do you have dust thrown at you?
Are insults lashed at you?
Do you feel you have no one to call your own?
You’re not alone
Are you hungry and thirsty?
Are you tired and weary?
Is your strength failing?
You’re not alone
Of late, I had an incident that made me feel alone. The enemy deceived me that I was so lonely and had no one to call my own. I started thinking about all the Bible verses I knew that I could use to remind him of my future. I remembered I am not alone. I remembered God said He will never leave me nor forsake me. That weeping may endure for a night, but Joy comes in the morning. I remembered He makes all things beautiful.
Friends, are you like me? Are there family and friends around yet you feel alone? Is your spouse just beside you and yet you feel empty? It’s time to remember Jesus and who He is to you. It’s time to remind yourself the He’s got the whole world in His Hands. You inclusive. It’s time to remind the Devil that Jesus defeated him. Perhaps you’re thinking you don’t know this Jesus yet. Let me tell you a little about Him.
He is the God of ALL the universe. He is the Light that shines in the darkness. He is the precise and exact image of God. God is light. For example, you see the sun and how bright it shines? Jesus shines more than a billion times the sun. You know, the sun actually borrows its light from Jesus. A more expressive and mathematical way of saying that is like Jesus said to the sun, take 0.000000000000000000001% of my light at creation. In mathematics, we say that’s infinitesimal and negligible. It means that the light in Him is nothing compared to that of the Sun. Meanwhile, this one Sun lights up all the planets in our solar system!
We can’t do anything in the darkness. It’s the same with Him. We can do nothing without Him. He’s God. He’s good. He died and rose again from the dead. That’s all! John in the Bible tells us that as many as believed in Him, He gave them the power to become the children of God. That’s who you become when you believe in Jesus! When you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It’s that simple!
So, I present this Jesus to you. I present Him who died, rose again and lives forever! I present this Jesus who can take an unworthy vessel and make him worthy. Not in his own righteousness, but in the righteousness of Jesus. I present this Jesus who can make you whole again: spirit, soul and body.
I present this Jesus who can make you lively. He has so much light to expel every darkness and give you a future for tomorrow. This same Jesus who can clean the tears and feelings of loneliness. Don’t be deceived, loneliness might still try to tempt you. But I present Jesus to you in whom you have a hope of winning; just like He did for me today. When you remember who Jesus is to you, Loneliness disappears! I offer you this Jesus who has a plan for your life no matter how messy it is. You know, if you sometimes feel like you’ve got no plan for your life, Well, it’s okay. Jesus Does. That’s the most important thing, right?
I present this Jesus to you. The maker of the earth and the skies!
